Friday's Bramble turned out to be a great success. Everyone liked the golf course and found it to be quite a challenge. Also if they did not plan a strategy they may have run into unexpected difficulties come towards the end of the round. Of the 21 entered there were 13 who signed up for the "Gold Card" which gives them great prices for everyday golf at both at Gasson lake City and Gassan Khuntan. For 700 baht a card member will get greefee, caddie and a power cart any day of the week at Lake City. This is very cheap on a very enjoyable golf course .Now all who are members have another option for affordable within their budgets.

Green fees: Gold club card----- 400 baht (includes caddie)
No gold club card - 600 baht (includes caddie)
* You can purchase your gold card at the course before golfing and your green fees will be only 400 baht. This card will expire February 28/2011.The gold club card is good also at Gassan Khuntan course with special rates for members.
Golf cart fees: 500 baht single person. 250 baht per person shared
This will be the final scrambler and “social event” of 2010. Hopefully we will have a lot of entries as it should be an enjoyable day.
Format:
1.) A list from lowest to highest handicaps from those entered will be compiled. The top 1/3 will be the low. The next 1/3 will be medium. The bottom 1/3 will be high. One name will be drawn from each category and those names will be team # 1 and so on until all names are drawn and all teams are formed.
2.) Each golfer will be required to count 4 drives from the par 4’s and par 5’s only. The rest are open to choose.
3.) After the drive is chosen and recorded all golfers continue and finish the hole from that point.
4.) For holes 1-6 count only the highest stable ford point.
For holes 7-12 count only the top 2 stable ford points
For holes 13-18 count all stable ford points
5.) Total all points recorded and that will be the team score.
6.) There will be a paramutual on Friday and you can purchase a ticket(s) on your favorite team(s). The cost of the paramutual will be 50 baht per team you select. You must buy the ticket before the team(s) you select tees on #1 hole.
7.) Whoever bought the ticket(s) on the winning team will win all the money in the paramutual pool.
8.) There will also be closest to the pin on all par 3’s. The ball marked must be on the green.
9.) Prize distribution for the competition will be as follows: 50% 1st. / 30% 2nd. /20% 3rd
** All ties will be broken by retrogression. Starting back from the 18th hole until the tie is broken. The lowest score in the first untied hole will be the winner.
